Excursions

Nature is varied within the province of Almeria from the wild beaches of Cabo de Gata to Tabernas Desert to Sierra Nevada and Alpujarras with its famous wineries. The possibilities for 4×4 excursions, mountain bikes, hiking or horseback are important and of great interest.
We can also visit the Sierra María-Los Vélez Natural Park and Karts de Yesos de Sorbas, underground labyrinth of caves near the town of Sorbas.

The main town, Almería, 40 minutes from mikasa, apart from its interest for shopping, has a cathedral and an old Arab citadel which is the largest in Europe.

The historic city of Granada with its many cultural attractions including the world-famous Alhambra, is less than two hours from mikasa. (www.alhambra.org/eng).

Due to its exceptional climate and nature, the province is known for its film industry. In the Desert of Tabernas there are several movie studios which have been filmed several of the best known “Spaghetti Western” and are also open to the public.
